Kevin Hodgman (Naperville), a senior at Neuqua Valley HS and member of the Finish Strong Force 17U/18U baseball team, has committed to play baseball at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL beginning in the fall of 2011. Congratulations from the entire Finish Strong Sportsplex staff.
Kevin Hodgman, a senior at Neuqua Valley High School and member of the Finish Strong Force 17U team, was the winning pitcher in the Wildcats 4-2 season and home opener on Monday, March 28 over Hinsdale Central. In an excerpt from a Naperville Patch article posted March 29, 2011, staff writer Chris Vavra's says this about Kevin Hodgman’s performance:
Kevin Hodgman led the way on the mound, throwing five dominant innings with nine strikeouts and giving up only four hits and one run. His only run allowed came in the fourth when shortstop Matt Anderson hit an opposite-field home run to left to lead off the inning.
“He (Hodgman) gave an amazing performance,' Wildcats coach Robin Renner said. 'I really loved the way he battled for us all game."
